Beyond Motivation: Using Hypnosis For Winning and Getting What You Want

We live in a very competitive world each and every day men and women all over the globe engage in many and varied fields of endeavor.

Lets face it we all want something but sometimes for some mysterious reason in spite of that desire....

We just can't seem to make it out of the gate, or worse and more commonly...

We start a project or new venture or idea only to lose our drive the further along we get.

So of course, this being a hypnosis blog. The Next Question Naturally Is...

Can hypnosis really help us build and keep our motivation.

The answer is a resounding yes.

Using the power of hypnosis we can build maintain and continue to increase your motivation to achieve what ever you want to.

And the best part is ...

There are many many ways we can begin using hypnosis to motivate ourselves and others quickly.

When we use hypnosis for self motivation the fastest and most common way is through what famous hypnotist Dick Sutphen likes to
call a mental movie.

To use the mental movie method we first need to several important pre-conditions in your mind.

A. Relaxation

B. Concentration

C. Focus

D. Absorption.

Now the real truth is we only need two of these elements to pretty much get any change we want but for now and
especially if you are new to hypnosis.

  • The fastest way to relax the body and focus the mind is through our breathing.
  • use a steady inhalation and exhalation.
  • Inhale in through your nose, out through your mouth in a smooth continuous and comfortable cycle. There are many breathing patterns you could use. Select the one that is most comfortable for you.
  • Allow your mind to gently focus on the rhythm of your breath.
  • As you continue to breath move your awareness to your eyes and specifically your eye lids.
  • Focus your attention on the tiny muscles in your eyelids.
  • and relax the to the point where they are so relaxed that you couldn't actually open them without putting more tension back into them.
  • once you know you have them that relaxed systematically spread that relaxation from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.

In my system of hypnosis we call this the fast relax and it works great for getting people into a really deep state of hypnosis very quickly.

Once you have a nice full state of relaxation going; begin to think about what you want to achieve. Begin to imagine what it is like to actually have it.

Make a mental movie where you can see yourself winning your goal over and over again. Generate as much emotional energy as you can.

Become fully absorbed in the experience.

Absorption is the key to making mental movies work powerfully.

If you are not completely engaged in the event, then your unconscious mind is not fully engaged either and therefore
the messages you are trying to send it tend to meet more resistance..

Once you have absorption the step is to simply replay the mental movie over and over again until you know deep inside
that you've got it.

There is usually a very tangible noticeable shift when you hit the right number of repetitions that locks a suggestion
in to your unconscious mind.

In NLP we call this a "Convincer Strategy" and while an NLP practitioner would go to great lengths to "elicit"
a persons convincer strategy.

its not actually necessary when using hypnosis.  All you really have to do is keep repeating the movie over an over again with
full engagement until YOU KNOW You've Got it.

===========================================================

The Mental movie technique is a great way to hypnotize yourself to become more motivated.

And while it can often also be used as part of a hypnotic process you can run with someone else. I find that there are actually better
and often more effective ways to motivate people using hypnosis.

Time Does Not Allow Me To Go Deeply into The Conversational Hypnosis Ways to increase motivation but I will briefly describe some of them
that we teach in both STEALTH Hypnosis, Killer Influence and Real World Hypnosis.

Conversational Hypnosis Method One - Emotional Hotbuttons

In NLP Terms We would call this criteria and values elicitation however, if you have little to no background in NLP. Those terms
may leave you at a loss.

So here is the brief understanding of Emotional Hotbuttons in a nutshell.

Everyone carries within them a personal "CheckList" of what is right and wrong for them. Each entry on the check list has two parts.

A.Label
B. A check list that lets the person know when something matches or does
not match the label.

Every time the person encounters a person, event or set of circumstances that is a match  to that checklist...

We feel a strong emotional desire for it.

We, in essence, become more motivated to obtain the object or experience that matches the
check list. Because that Object or focus of desire has Intense Emotional Value To Us.

Does that make sense?

For Example,

If someone tells you they want more money and you ask them what is important about having more money.

They might say " I want more money so I can pay my bills, so I can keep a roof over my head and my childrens head and I'll know I'll never have
to worry about losing my home or having my stuff taken away.

now, without going too far into this process, we now know that the word money for this person means being able to pay bills, keeping a roof over
their head, and over their children's head, never having to worry about losing his home or having his stuff taken away.

As you can plainly see these are all "safety"or  security oriented answers.

and are "Extremely Powerful" when dealing with and motivating the person you gave them to you.

The secret here is that if you wanted to motivate this person to take action on making more money. All you would have to do is speak to them
about how doing what you want or suggest will get them more money, so they can experience each of the things they described to you.

I'm painting very broad strokes because this technique is much better learned visually and auditorally and is covered much more indepth in our bonus video.

Another great technique for hypnotically motivating people to want to do things they say they don't want to do is The "Criteria Lock" Technique we teach in
Killer Influence and Renegade Hypnosis.

The criteria lock is a method for completely bypassing "Resistance" To suggestion and causing people to actually want to do things they didn't want to do previously.

It works by first finding out exactly what possible emotional reason a person may have for wanting to do something they say they don't want to do, Then using a
very specific Formula which literally takes less than a minute, is completely covert and conversational but automatically reorients their thinking and causes
them to begin wanting to take the action they previously refused to do.

Its an amazing tactic and one I love teaching people but you do need some fundamental conversational hypnosis skills such as those we teach in STEALTH
to really make it cook.

There is also another aspect of motivation that almost no one ever talks about and you might have noticed me mentioning it a few times.

Its called Resistance. In future articles I'll discuss some very specific and powerful methods for literally bypassing any and all resistance to your hypnotic
persuasion skills.

They are called Omega Strategies and once you understand them you'll never have a hard time hypnotizing anyone again.

Nobody in the hypnosis world teaches Omega Strategies and yet they can dramatically increase the motivation of anyone when used properly.

That's it for today.

Covert Hypnosis Techniques Anyone Can Learn

covert hypnosis

There are many programs that claim to offer covert hypnosis techniques anyone can learn but if you are as skeptical as I was at first you will want to do some research before buying into these claims. The article below comes from a site that does offer a covert hypnosis program however I was more interested in their explanations of covert hypnosis and the information they present to support what a hypnotist needs to do.

I like the way they presented this information and that it is not geared towards sexual seduction or other inappropriate uses. When you read the article below (covert hypnosis) you will realize that there are covert hypnosis techniques anyone can learn.

Covert Hypnosis

"Covert Hypnosis also known as conversational hypnosis is the process in which one gains control over the others mind without their knowledge just by making conversations by the listener’s subconscious mind. The ultimate aim here is to change the opinion of the person in question by manipulating their thoughts and making them do things your way."

"In this process the hypnotizer changes the thought pattern of the people, their behavior, emotions and perception of life on a subconscious level. Unlike with conventional hypnotherapy sessions covert hypnosis does not involve closing of the eyes or any kind of moving pendulum or strange hand gestures."

Suggestive Commands

"The commands or suggestions given by the person hypnotizing to the person being hypnotized are more of a metaphor and presented in an indirect fashion, although in certain cases they are also given directly. Stories are one of the tools of covert hypnosis which can be effectively used to convey your actual message across and help remember it with much more probability."

"The initial step in covert hypnosis though is to build a rapport with the listener. It is easy to do it with friends and family but also not that difficult to do it with strangers. All you have to do is use some compliment on them or laugh at their jokes to build a comfort level with your unknown listener. It is not necessary that you go too deep into building a connection with your listener."

Building Rapport

"The next step after building a rapport with the person to be hypnotized you have to try and switch off the listener’s critical mind. It is nothing but diverting the listener’s mind from its normal thinking state to an imaginary thinking state. You can always start by using some scenarios and asking them questions like “What if…” or “Imagine this…” This immediately shuts off their critical mind and lets their imagination dominate their thought process."

"After successfully taking the listener off his/her critical mindset you may now make your irresistible commands and describe the things you want him/her to do. The effectiveness of this method depends on a lot of things that you put in to it. It depends on the way you transform their mind from critical thinking to imagination and the kind of statements you make to convince them well enough to perform the task you give them."

Covert Hypnosis Is Easy

I used to be skeptical about the covert hypnosis techniques but I've actually used it myself many times and now I can honestly say there  are effective covert hypnosis techniques anyone can learn to use in any situation.

Conversational Hypnosis Breaks Through Mental Barriers

    conversational hypnosis

Conversational hypnosis breaks through mental barriers by overcoming a persons "BS detector" or by grabbing their attention so completely that their focus remains on the source of their attention. Kevin Hogan, expert hypnotist demonstrates this effective technique in the article below with his story about the cover of Cosmo in the airport.

    Is This Conversational Hypnosis?

"Seduction can be defined in one of three ways. Seduction can be used to lead someone astray from their principles, much like Darth Vader attempted to do to young Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. I'm not too big on revealing secrets on how to win converts to the dark side...."

"Seduction can also refer to inducing or tempting someone to have sex, much like Delilah did to Samson in The Bible. This area of seduction is certainly more interesting and playful than leading someone astray from their core values...but still not really where my core interest lies."

"No, the seduction I refer to in The Art of Hypnotic Seduction is the inducement and enticement to win over someone to your side...or to your point of view. But what about the "hypnotic" part?"

"Hypnosis can be defined as a "narrowing focus of attention" or "resonating with the anti-suggestive barrier of the mind." In the first case, a narrowing focus of attention, I think of walking through the airport today and seeing Carmen (Electra) on the cover of Stuff magazine."

"I walked into Simply Books to find the August issue of Cosmo (they interviewed me for this months issue) but my mind totally spaced the world out as my mind was captured by Carmen on the cover of Stuff. (Carmen stars on a TV show called Living Large...something I've never seen or heard of but I will check it out...) I was literally hypnotized by the cover of Stuff magazine. Who was on Time? Newsweek? Good Housekeeping? Sports Illustrated? Business Week? Yahoo? Money? ...I have no clue."

"No one who walked into Simply Books did. It was just you and Carmen right there at the check out counter. I walked over to Carmen and picked her up. There was a little "tag" above her shoulder on the right side of the magazine that said, "Unfold for More". So, I did, opening the magazine to see a Carmen with even fewer square inches of garment on than the cover boasted. In the upper right hand corner it said, "Stop staring and buy the magazine."

"It was absolutely brilliant. I almost took it to the checkout counter when I remembered that I subscribed and I thought it would be nice to have it in the mailbox today. That's the hypnotic power of magazine cover...not a real, living, breathing...person... That's hypnosis."

"Hypnosis is all about narrowing another person or group of people's attention to where what you are saying is the only thing they are paying attention to and then when you give the suggestion to "stop staring and buy the magazine," they do so."

    Breaking Through the Barrier

"Hypnosis is also about resonating with the antisuggestive barrier of the mind. Each person has a metaphorical "mechanism in the mind" that "protects" the mind from all that might be bad for them. My antisuggestive barrier instantly filters out telemarketers, stock brokers, television preachers, anyone who knocks on my front door, and hundreds of other stimuli."

"In other words, there is a "wall" in my mind that is very tall...a "BS detector" that goes off like a fog horn when I see, feel or hear anything that my BS detector has coded as EVIL. (The BS detector of course is often wrong...it's just a detector like the ones at the airport. It's a warning device that there MIGHT be something wrong here...but certainly not always."

"If you can make it past my BS detector without setting it off, you will have my full attention and it will not likely be diverted anywhere else.) That's hypnosis, too. When the BS detector says, "I like this guy," I might just filter out the rest of the world and you will have my complete and undivided attention."

Conversational Hypnosis Breaks Through Mental Barriers!

There is no doubt that conversational hypnosis works by breaking through mental barriers. We all use our brain to automatically filter out what we don't care about or are not interested in. When conversational hypnosis is used correctly it bypasses that filter and gets the person to focus on whatever you want them to.

      Hypnosis, Sincerity Is the Key

When doing any form of hypnotic suggestion you must be completely sincere in your communication. As we often joke…

Once you can “fake” sincerity you can do or suggest anything and people will follow you. That being said you should always respect the power you are working with and only use your skills in strict congruence with your own sense of right and wrong.

Never forget real covert hypnosis is power. Power is meant to be used, not abused.

Hypnotic Attraction Power: How To Make Sure Hypnosis Will Work

4 Pillars of Unstoppable Hypnotic Influence: Pillar #2 Attractivity

        http://www.coverthypnosis.com

A lot of people think that, that, if they don't make a good first impression that they're dead in the water.

        It's not true. K?

There's a far more powerful principle You Can Apply to Increase Your Own Level of Attractiveness. It's just more long term.

That principle is called the familiarity principle

In other words, the more times somebody sees you, even if it's for a few minutes every day or a minute in passing, the more attractive you become.

So, the people who are rated a five on the first meeting, after about a month of seeing them once or twice a week, they're going to go up to a six or seven.

You become familiar and that breeds a level of comfort, attractiveness that becomes very, very useful.

You know, there's a reason why when people joke about how sometimes a child doesn't look like her father.

They say the milkman must've been over or the mailman came over. Why? Who do they see everyday?

The milkman. The maid. The postman.

The boy next door. The girl next door.

The gardner. The pool person. Why? They see them everyday or every other....On a consistent basis over time.

The level of  attractivity goes up.
