Covert Hypnosis Techniques for Weight Loss. Rarely do you ever find those two phrases in the same place at the same time. But I do get many questions about whether you can actually use covert hypnosis for weight loss.

Do Such Covert Hypnosis Techniques actually exist? And if so… Where can one learn them?

Well the truth is that for most people (including the average classically trained hypnotist) Covert Hypnosis Techniques for Weight Loss Do Not Exist.

Why?

Because most people don't know enough about hypnosis to understand the difference between a hypnosis technique and an "Hypnotic Operator" You see in order to do covert hypnosis you must understand hypnotic operators.

If you do understand hypnotic operators then covert hypnosis techniques for weight loss abound.

But for now.

Lets Talk About Covert Hypnosis, Hypnotic Operators, Weight Loss and You.

We Will Keep The Technical Stuff Short and Simple.

A Hypnosis or Covert Hypnosis Technique, whether it be for weight loss, stopping smoking, covert persuasion, attraction or anything else is a method or set of procedures that USES one or more hypnotic operators to achieve its effect.

Pretty simple right?

A "Hypnotic Operator" On The Other Hand is ANY phenomenon that has the power to bypass, or reorient the critical factor of the conscious mind and set up a state of "acceptable selective thinking," now remember, a state of acceptable selective thinking means that it creates a direction or state in a person that "predisposes them" to think or act in a certain way.

A Trance, (which is what all hypnotic methods are aimed at creating) is an ongoing state of absorption and narrowing of focus along the continuum of that "acceptable selective" thinking state we created.

So… In a very neat succinct little package you've learned the difference between a covert hypnosis/hypnosis technique, a hypnotic operator, the definition of covert hypnosis/hypnosis, and the definition of trance.

That of course begs the question most people would be asking right about now.

So What?

How is that going to help me lose 20 pounds before my sister's wedding so I can make that snobby B$%* Jealous with Envy!?!

Glad you asked.

Well first things first.

Overt Hypnosis Techniques Will Target Things Like… What's That?

What is an Overt Hypnosis Technique?  How does it differ from Covert Hypnosis Techniques?

Okay Good Question.

Contrary to covert hypnosis, an overt hypnosis technique is any technique that YOU Are Aware of and have consented to have used with you. Overt hypnosis techniques for weight loss usually target one or several areas.

  • Behaviors
  • Lifestyles
  • Defense Mechanisms
  • Secondary Gain Issues

Behaviors and Lifestyles Are Simply a Complex Way Of Saying "Habits." Generally speaking if you are less than 20 lbs overweight your problem is usually just bad eating habits and lifestyle issues. i.e. lack of exercise, improper nutrition, selecting for the wrong foods. etc. All of which are easily correctable when the proper hypnosis techniques are applied to a compliant and willing client.

In our programs we have a number of very powerful and direct hypnosis techniques that target this level of behavior. Providing the client is willing to accept and act upon the suggestions of the hypnotist Results Can Come Very Quickly and with Very Little Effort On The Part of the Client.

This method of weight loss is very pleasant and relaxing for the client while still yielding tremendous results.

Using covert hypnosis, clients no longer feel like they HAVE To do Something. They simply enjoy the process of indulging and taking pleasure in all the right ways that lead to quick, easy natural weight loss.

 

Defense Mechanisms:

The most important thing to remember about excess fat or body weight is that its NEVER really the problem. Extreme overweight (greater than 20 pounds is NOT usually about just bad habits or unhealthy lifestyle) The behavior is there for a far more "serious' and beneficial reason. Yes, I did say beneficial reason.  Those already trained in covert hypnosis are already aware of these things and we'll get more into that in a bit.

But for now.

Ironically most Obese people when confronted with this simple truth fall into one of two camps.

They either wholeheartedly deny it, or are very quick to agree. We send the deniers home. They aren't ready to change yet. Sound harsh? Not in the long term, we are actually doing them a favor.

The unwillingness of a hypnotist to turn away a client who, categorically through the process of examination and interview, is unwilling to accept and act upon the recommendations and interpretations of the "professional" they are paying to help them solve their problem is the single biggest reason why many classically trained hypnotists fail. Clients waste their money, the hypnotist wastes his time and nobody goes home happy.  This is not unique to convert hypnosis or overt hypnosis trained hypnotist, it is entirely up to them.

In our approach to hypnosis or covert hypnosis  we don't accept clients who are unwilling to follow our suggestions and assesments. But I digress…

Hypnosis techniques targeting defense mechanisms can be either overt or covert, usually a combination of covert hypnosis and overt hypnosis. In either case the techniques will target one of several areas. The area of pain for which the behavior is being generated. Or creating a an appropriate state of acceptance and compliance in the mind of the subject. both are necessary for the intervention to work.

An example of obesity or excessive body weight is often seen in women suffering from extreme overweight. The true core of the problem or "the initial sensitizing event" to use the hypnotic term for it. Is often unwanted sexual attention. Now there are many degrees of unwanted sexual attention, ranging from being sexually harassed, teased, or otherwise embarrased or threatened at an early age all the way up to molestation, sexual abuse, rape and more. I won't go into the sordid details the internal thought process that leads to overwieght being generated is simply this -

The unconscious mind realizes that being attractive leads to unpleasant and uncomfortable situations and so it looks for ways to keep those situations from ever happening again. It decides that the fastest and most effective way to stop that accident from ever happening again is to simply "become less attractive" the fastest way to become less attractive (especially in western cultures) is to pack on the pounds.

Of course there is a double bladed sword to this behavior, in that un-satisfied sexual urges and other primal drives will tend to be compensated for by over-eating as well. (Dr. A.T.W. Simeons "Pounds and Inches Manuscript) Therefore sexual frustration also leads to overeating behaviors.

This type of wait loss can be a gordian not to unravel but fortunately the well trained hypnotist has a large body of techniques for quickly getting to the root of the problem and addressing it.

Secondary Gain issues are actually Side benefits of having or being overweight that the subject might no longer have if the weight were to actually go away. For example, An athelete, say a football player who wants to lose weight in order to play better may unconsciously sabotage their weight loss because even though they would be healthier and faster on the field, the loss of body weight migh also make them weaker and many athletes fear losing strength.

Another secondary gain issue that comes up alot is security. People eat to feel secure when they are scared or nervous, eating reminds them of a time when they felt safe. Keep in mind these are just general examples and by no means all of the many forms of defense mechanisms and secondary gain issues that can cause weight gain or sabotage weight loss.

They are simply factors that the properly applied overt and covert hypnosis techniques can quickly and effectively address.

    I know this works with children, I used to watch my kids' pre-school teacher do this all the time. She was always prepared with a silly song or an unexpected detail, and it held the interest of most of the kids while she taught what she needed to. It's works in advertising and relationships and business, persuasion is more effective when you use the unexpected message.

      Well the answer to that is a resounding yes.

      How Can You Use Conversational Hypnosis?

      If the obvious answer to the very first question is yes. Then HOW do you actually do it. And Do YOU have the ability to do it?

      Yes. You do have the ability to do it by virtue of the fact that you are a living breathing human being with a pulse. You see I don’t subscribe to the concept of hypnosis the way most people in the community do.

      Nope, Orthodox hypnosis is for sissies, and no, that is not a reference to sissified hypnosis, that’s a different niche entirely.

      It’s more a statement of the current state of hypnotic affairs in the orthodox hypnosis community a community that relies on as one of my more controversial mentors put it…weak, sissified, and, neutered technique.

      You see the truth about humans is this…They are all asleep.

      Metaphorically speaking anyway…

      You see the natural state of the average human is simply to move through the world in a state of internally focused awareness.

      In a nutshell…

      People are more in love and involved with what is going on inside their own heads than they will ever be with what is going on outside of it.

      This gives the user of conversational hypnosis tremendous power if he can accomplish a few simple things.

      The first thing is to get them out of the trance they are in and into the trance that is most useful to achieving the behaviors you want them to engage in. Seems simple. Sometimes it is.

      Sometimes it isn’t by any large the fastest way to make covert and conversational hypnosis easy is to cultivate an understanding of the three Pillars of Covert/Conversational Hypnosis

      The ability to do conversational hypnosis has multiple components.

      Conversational Hypnosis Components:

      We call this the I-3 model in the Killer Influence,  covert conversational hypnosis system I teach.

      If you don’t have control of these three things your power as a conversational hypnotist drops dramatically.

      A.Identity – You need to know who you are, what your skill sets are, your attributes and of course you must know what the outcome is that you want to achieve, and if necessary that the sub outcomes are that naturally lead to the achievement of your overall goal.

      B.Intelligence: This is the area where people are the weakest. If you master this area you are practically unstoppable as a covert or conversational hypnotist

      a.Intelligence as we define it has nothing to do with how smart you are, or your IQ score

      b.It has everything to do with your ability to gather, calibrate and derive useful information from your subject

      C. Influence : influence as we discuss it here simply means the tools, tactics, strategies and techniques that allow you to make manage the information about the subject and environment . In other words to know what to do, when to do it and of course HOW to do covert and conversational hypnosis.

      We have several formulas for covert hypnosis and conversational hypnosis that we teach. You can use a simple

      AIDA Style format that is familiar to many marketers and copy writers.

      AIDA Stands for Attention – Interest- Desire- Action. We would add a couple extra A’s into that formula such as Amplify, And Anchor.

      Attention stage teaches you to get them out of their head and into the world. To move your subject or target from an internally aware state
      (dissociated) to an externally aware state ( associated) only when the subject is fully associated can we really do powerful conversational hypnosis.

      Getting someone from a dissociated state to an associated one is as simple as asking a basic question like Do you know what time it is? Or how is your day going?

      Very simple, changes their focus of attention from Internal to External.

      Now you can move to stage two… Interest.

      Now you have to do something that engages their interest something they want to interact with you about.

      Certain kinds of hypnotic questions are very good for this. They also allow you subtly manipulate the direction of the conversation while letting your subject do most of the talking.

      Very good for dating, attraction and seduction scenarios because the longer a person talks to you about something that they are interested in. The more hypnotically charismatic YOU become.

      This is a very common scenario when a man and a woman go out on a date. The guy spends all night answering the woman’s questions, talking about himself and by the end of the night his attraction to her has quadrupled.

      ( Unfortunately for our hapless hero. He also managed to bore the pants/dress of the young lady playing the question game)

      Here is a key principle you need to understand. There are four pillars of irresistible hypnotic influence. Master them and the world is yours. One of those pillars is known as “Authority” or more precisely The Authority principle.

      We don’t have time to go into the four pillars here. But just understand this. Being the authority makes other people who see you that way highly suggestible to you.

      Asking Questions gives you the unconscious position of authority in the other persons mind when they are answering those questions.

      Do the math amigo.

      Hypnotic Questioning is an entire method of influence and conversational hypnosis unto itself. Most people don’t even realize it exists. They are all still stuck on
      Ericksonian Confusion Patterns, Double binds and embedded commands. The best stuff never calls attention to itself.

      The very fact that you probably know what I am talking about indicates just how much attention these particular techniques get. Couple that with the fact that most people simply don’t do it very well anyway.

      The best stuff is simple. Foundational and universal. Meaning it works well everywhere.

      This article is getting long so let’s finish up the AIDA Formula Real Quick.

      We covered Attention and Interest

      Now let’s talk about Desire.

      This of course is where what you want and what your subject wants converge. People will do just about anything you want them to if you show them how it will get them something they really want. The key word of course being “Really Want”.

      In sales and marketing this could be the pain or problem they are having and want to make go away.

      When you effectively link what you want them to do with what they already want at a deep level. People will practically do anything you tell them to. If you press those buttons properly.

      The best way to achieve this is through stimulating emotional arousal in your subject. Emotions automatically bypass the critical factor of the Subconscious mind and all you change the perceptual filters toward what you want them to do.

      Humans intuitively understand this concept by always making sure someone is in a good mood before making a request for something.

      Don’t lie to me, we all did it as kids, Waited till mom or dad was in a good mood before we asked for that toy or to borrow the car.

      Moods matter. Especially from a conversational hypnosis perspective.

      We also want to amplify those emotional states and link them to us. That way we become emotionally associated to the positive actions we want them to take.

      The last letter in our covert conversational hypnosis formula is Action.

      You must tell them very clearly, or demonstrate very clearly what you want them to do next and then you have to give them the autonomy to do it.

      In our system of Easy covert conversational hypnosis, we call this “the Illusion of Control” this is where we give our subject complete freedom to choose any of the choices we’ve given them. The end result of course is…

      All roads lead to doing what we want them to do, or simply following our instructions. Either way works for us.

      Now it stands without saying that if you’re going to engage in conversational hypnosis that you always go for a win/win for both you and your subjects. That allows you to tap into the most powerful trance inducer there is.

      Sincerity.

          Mind Control Hypnosis – “The Inception Method” Implanting Thoughts In The Minds of Others

          Mind Control Hypnosis?  I know this one is going to be really controversial.

          I don't care. Because its really cool.

          I watched the movie "Inception" the other day and I was shocked.

          They almost got it 100% Right.

          Seriously. Watch it multiple times.

          Now obviously space and intellectual common sense will not let me divulge every bit of what I know about exactly how to implant thoughts in the minds of others using covert and conversational hypnosis techniques.But I will give you something to play with.

          Covert Hypnosis Techniques

          When we talk about covert hypnosis and conversational hypnosis the sexiest hypnosis techniques that almost always come up are

          A – Embedded Commands

          B. Thought Binds

          C. Negations

          D. Quotes patterns

          While the techniques themselves are great, and they do work, most people do not use them effectively and they fail to apply any real strategy when using them.They are also the ones most people know and are actively screening for. but if you are going to use them(and you should) the following article series will completely transform your game.

          Which brings us to the "Inception" Method  of Covert Hypnotic Influence.as I like to call it. Inception is a simple and easy way to implant thoughts into the minds of your subjects. Now at the risk of spoiling the movie for you I do have to tell you a bit about it and then show you how it relates to directly implanting thoughts into the minds of others.

          WARNING: MOVIE SPOILER COMMING UP!

          Inception is based around the concept of a group of hi-tech specialists in "Dream invasion and Extraction" In other words they break into a persons dreams, create a whole new world that the dreamer believes is his and then they quickly find where he or she stores their deepest and darkest secrets, break into that particular mental construct within the dream and extract the information.

          Now to be honest that in and of itself is pretty cool but then it gets better.

          Our intrepid cast of dream invaders are contracted (I won't tell you why)" to break into someones dream and instead of "extracting" information, they are tasked to actually "implant" a thought within the mind of the target. I won't spoil the movie for you by telling you how it ends or any of the really good stuff. but…

          Like I said they came really close to the actual technique

          The first mistake people make when trying to implant thoughts in the minds of others is they make the thoughts they seek to implant way too complex.

          Remember your mind has levels of perception, processing, projection and experience. the thoughts we consciously are aware of are actually the most superficial level and are the end result of a whole series of pre-conscious and unconscious processes that arise out of the deepest structure of our mind.

          This why embedded commands sometimes work and sometimes not. When using an embedded command the purpose is to implant a suggestion using your tonality or some other way to mark off the commands you are seeking to implant.

          For optimum results you must keep the commands simple, usually under 5 words works best. They must include a verb in other words you actually have to tell your subject to do something.

          Now I have noticed a sub category of the embedded command that I like to call the embedded perception and this would be akin to complex equivalent type of statement but delivered with a commanding tonality the same way you would a command. (if you don't know what a complex equivalence is see my STEALTH Hypnosis Course When it becomes available.

          Hypnosis example:

          As you continue reading this article you'll quickly discover "its very good" to read it multiple times until you really get the concept.

          Now obviously I am really calling attention to the embedded commands and that's okay because they are all processed before you become conscious of them anyway. If I were speaking out loud, your unconscious mind would pick up the drop in my tonality on everything that is underlined. But what I want you to notice is how short the embedded commands are and that in that one sentence alone I use 3 embedded commands.

          In writing this might look a little odd, and if you understand embedded commands (like if you have ever studied nlp or hypnosis) this would jump out at you as a blatant attempt to install something. which in turns sends up warning flags that someone is trying to "implant" a thought in your mind which of course automatically leads to unconscious resistance.

          That is why when using embedded commands in writing you need to understand the visual impact of what you are writing as well as the outcome you are trying to achieve.

          In speaking however, this is a perfectly acceptable way to deliver embedded commands. Now I want you to pay attention to some other things here. and that goes directly to the strategic use of embeddeds in your mind control hypnosis process.

          • Use short action oriented commands – no more than 3 to 5 words.
          • Always use multiple commands
          • Use a cause and effect structure to your commands; If We Extract Just the commands from this sentence we get

          "continue reading this article —-> read it multiple times -> get the concept

          Notice how there is a flow to the commands, simple direct and to the point. simplicity is power when working with embedds.

          The more creative you try to get the more diluted your effects  tend to become. This where Ericksonian trained and NLP trained people screw themselves up alot. They try to get way to too subtle and  too vague to the point where their suggestions have no discernable flow to them and thus the unconscious mind doesn't get the pattern to the commands that create cause and effect within the targets unconscious mind. (you must create cause and effect)

           Embedded Perceptions-

          Now I want you to focus on the the one phrase I outlined in red. Notice that this embedded phrase does not have a verb in it.

          In fact its pretty much structured like a statement of fact. This is what I call an "embedded perception" even though I deliver this in the structure of a statement I use the tonality of a command just like I would to deliver an embedded directive. What this does is that it inserts the suggestion of how I want the subject to perceive the topic in question as well as how I want them to perceive the commands I want them to follow.

          In the movie "Inception" the characters discuss how in order to implant a thought you must first break it down into its components and become progressively more simple and primal. you also have to generate perceptions within the mind of the subject that reinforce and orient the creation of unconscious assumptions necessary to support the implanted thought.

          When we give embedded perceptions we start influence "the meaning" our subject connects to a specific event, topic or experience. This is more of a background effect but is immensly powerful because it influences perception and when we can influence perceptions its only a matter of time before the thoughts we are seeking to implant begin to naturally arise within the mind of the subject..
